PACO EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE CALLS FOR ADDITIONAL DIRECTORS

The PACO Executive Committee has expressed a strong interest to increase the number of Board of Directors for the organization. Currently there are three (3) Directors elected to serve on the PACO Board. After recent discussions and research it was determined by the Executive Committee that now is a good time to increase the number of directors. The PACO board of directors will consist of two additional directors (if approved by the membership thru a by-law change), bringing the total number of directors to five (5) members.
The PACO membership has over 200 current members and is in need of a diversified representation. With this increase in membership come more responsibility and a heavier workload. It is a goal of the Executive Committee to include some more of the many members of PACO who are qualified individuals to provide their ideas and leadership in order to continue and improve the organization.
This idea will be discussed at the 2002 September Meeting. The PACO President is in the process of reviewing the By-law changes in order to accommodate this expansion to five (5) Board of Directors. The by-law change will be distributed before the December meeting, and will be scheduled for a vote at the December Meeting. This will allow the membership to vote for five Board of Directors at the annual March Meeting in 2003.
