Meeting called to order by President Gallagher at 09:00

Roll Call of Officers:

Treasurers report:

Bob Neely read budget and account breakdown. All funds have been changed to Commerce Bank. Treasurer's report read. Used approximately $5800.00 from budget towards Spring Forum already

Membership renewals have been sent out to current and past members from the past 3 years. Membership currently 216 members

Code Review Committee:

The amendment to require sprinkler in townhouses was approved from the floor by membership after being voted against by the committee. A two-thirds majority will be required at the final action hearing to add it to the IRC.

George Fielden from Upper Merion asked if PACO had taken a position on the sprinkler issue. President Gallagher stated that at this time we do not, however the fire service members so PACO need to step p and educate their counter parts in the building departments to gain more support.

Proposals were made to improve the hearing at the ICC level to speed up the process.

Education Committee: Spring Forum information is on website. We are offering a three day 3 track training this time. Forum will be held at the Concordville Inn.

PHRC: John Beswick: Industrial Advisory Meeting to be held April 17, 2008 at State College. PA Home energy conference March 18 and 19 at State College

Region VII - R Loeper gave Region VII report. Pennsylvania is the Host state for Region VII Meetings in 2008. Code Change proposals from Region Vii will be presented at the ICC Hearings. Next meeting May 8 and 9th in Hagerstown, MD.

PABCO: Roland Hall and Sarah Yerkes from ICC met with PABCO Board to better recognize PABCO membership strength.

House bill to be aware of HB: 1474 Family Daycare, 1096 Create a Technical Advisory Committee

All Commercial Pools must be submitted to L&I for review of Accessibility

ICC: Roland Hall gave update on ICC Conference from Reno, NV.

Steve Shapiro is now ICC President

Adolph Zubia is Vice President

Ron Lynn is Secretary/Treasurer will be at our Spring Forum he is our ICC Board representative.

Code Change hearings in Palm Springs Information available on ICC Website.

2008 Conference is in Minneapolis

2009 Conference is in Baltimore

ICC Governance committee is working on By-law changes and procedures

Outreach Program

A meeting was held with Philadelphia, Kevin Pezzano and Jeff Gentile met with members of Philadelphia L&I regarding starting their own ICC Chapter or joining PACO. PACO will support them in any direction they wish to pursue

New Business

Doug Meshaw from PBA reported that a meeting was held with L&I to address the following items:

        1. Alteration and repair issues and to request an advisory be issued.

        2. The adoption of the appendices.

        3. Fee Schedule adoption by municipalities.

Old Business

The use and dispersion of the $4.00 collected on each permit was discussed. Doug Meshaw offered to try and find out how and where the funds are being spent

Bob Loeper took the opportunity to thank Doug for his efforts to forge a relationship between PBA PACO and PABCO.
