Meeting called to order at 09:05 by President Gentile.

All officers present for roll call

President’s report read.

John Beswick appointed to fill Dick Dillon’s unexpired term. Dick needed to step down form the board due to work issues.

Spring forum mailing was sent out

Board is reviewing proposals for newsletter

Debit card policy has been established. Only the treasure will have the card and it will not be given out to anyone. Report will be given to the BOD each month on use of card.

Membership:

General Membership requested to talk to code officials in their area that are not members of PACO and explain the benefits of membership to them. Many code officials are not aware of all the PACO has to offer them

By-laws will be mailed out along with a membership certificate to all members. If you have a new or updated email address please let Maureen know. We are relying on email more and more to provide quick notifications to our members.

Education Committee:

Spring Forum update given. ICC membership number is required on applications

June 14th meeting will include all day training by Simpson Strong-tie. Mailing will sent out for that in April.

Bob Loeper gave PABCO report regarding

SB 437 IRC Wall provisions
SB 100 Home improvement contractor bill
HB 237 Regarding temporary structures
HB 493 UCC Advisory Boards

PABCO is working on all of the above bills to insure the best interest of our members

ICC region VII meeting in Hagerstown March 23-24

Items on agenda include:

Conflicts of interest for ICC Board members becoming fulltime staff
Governance Committee report
Number of seats on ICC BOD
ICC position on States adopting and diluting the codes

Nomination report

Lee Milligan reported we have 3 candidates for Code Official of the year. BOD will decide after meeting on winner

Old business: UCC Residential deadline April 9, 2007. If you do not have the appropriate L&I certification by that date you will no longer be permitted to enforce residential codes

New Business

Joe McClain is ill and additional help is needed on audit committee to take Joe’s place at this time. Interested parties should contact Glenn Holt or Bob Neeley

Members requested that a list of committees be posted on website so general membership has an idea where they can help.

Lansdowne is hosting “Understanding the 2006 IFC class May 1-3, 2007

Steve Travers asked the PACO and PABCO pursue and active role in working with the Governors Center for the use of the $2.00 training fund
