Motion for approval of the June 18, 2009 minutes
- • 1st Bob Ellis, 2nd - Stan Altzman
Treasurers Report - Joe Januzelli
Joe also submitted an Itemized Expenses/Income Tracking Detail 6/19/2009 to 9/17/2009 and is being attached to these minutes
- • A motion was made to accept the Treasurers Report

President's Report - Glenn Holt
ICC BOD Candidates
- • Several candidates have requested PACO's support for ICC Board positions.
Bob Dupler - running for Secretary/Treasurer and is from Virginia
Guy Tomberlin - running for BOD at Large and is from Virginia
M. Dwayne Garris - running for BOD at Large and is from Atlanta
- • It was the decision of the PACO BOD to support the campaign of Guy Tomberlin and Dwayne Garris, barring that they are not running against each other
Region 7 Gala
- • This will take place during the ICC Conference
- • PACO has donated $1,000.00 towards this event
- • Region 7 shirts will be available for purchase
Bus Trip to ICC Conference
- • Has been nixed due to a lack of response
ICC Chapter of the Year
- • Glenn would like to apply for the ICC Chapter of the Year Award for Next Year
- • PACO needs to be known as more than just a Code Official Organization
- • Part of the Award is volunteer work
- • Any member who does volunteer work, please submit a short write-up to Glenn regarding the type of volunteer work that you do.
- • Need send an e-mail out to members regarding details regarding the Chapter of the Year
Training
Spring Forum
- • Bob Ellis is now the Chairman for the Spring Forum
- • Spring Forum will be 2 days
- • ICC rep will attend for swearing in of PACO Officers
- • Committee will look into a location for the Spring Forum
Future Training
- • Looking into having an all day seminar in March 2009
- • If numbers are not increased for Quarterly Meeting, the number of meetings during the year may need to be decreased.
PHRC - Terri Bennett
- • October 7, 2009 is the Operations Committee Meeting
- • October 8, 2009 is the Advisory Committee Meeting whether PACO will give CEU Credits for attending a Webinar
PABCO
- • Brian Gallagher was not in attendance, however, submitted the following report
- • Brian will be attending the next BOD meeting in Harrisburg on 9/22/09
- • The new Board of Directors were elected and placed into office.
- • Bob Buddenbohn will be moving into his new home in July '09 and has relocated from Needmore to Brockport
- • The Board voted on a number of issues, the most critical was the sprinkler requirements in the UCC. PABCO will use all available resources to ensure the requirements stay in the new UCC
- • PABCO is working with the other agencies who are working on the sprinkler systems requirements.
- • Ken Battin was participated in a conference call on the sprinkler requirements. Ken was not in attendance at the meeting so this topic could not be discussed further
Education - John Beswick
- • December 17, 2009 training will be light gauge steel framing
- • March 10, 2010 training will be Stucco and Dryvit Walls
- • If anyone has any ideas for future training, please contact John
- • Fall Forum will be held on November 18th, 19th and 20th, 2009 at the Montgomery County Fire Academy.
- • Courses being held are review of the 2009 Building, Fire, Residential and Mechanical Codes
- • All training will be presented by Jim Schifiliti, Fire Safety Consultants
- • November 16, 2009 - IBC Code Updates
- • November 17, 2009 - IFC Updates
- • November 18, 2009 - IRC Updates
- • Reservations need to be received by October 21, 2009
Old Business
- • Bob Neely thanked PACO for the fruit basket that was sent time during his illness
New Business
- • Kevin Pezanno is coordinating a Level II & Level III Interview and Interrogation Class.
The class will be 5 days
Cost is $595.00
Classes will be held at Middletown Township
- • Kevin Pezanno is also putting together a Simpson seminar which will also be hosted at Middletown Township
- • ICC Conference
There is going to be a by-law change proposed to limit who can vote and each Municipality will have to name their primary voter
It is being proposed that the sprinkler proposal be taken out
- • On October 6, 2009, there is a hearing in Pennsylvania to remove sprinkler from the UCC
- • Kevin Pezanno had a conversation with Rob Van Kamp (VP ICC) and Diane Shaw (Pearson Vue) regarding ongoing problems with the testing centers.
- • Terry Bennett made an announcement that her daughter will be riding in the MS city to shore bike race and if anyone is interested in making a donation, to please contact her.
- • Bob Ellis brought in a sample of a Temporary Electrical Panel Cover. This can be attached to an electrical panel with magnets when you need to leave the box unattended. Contact info for the boxes is:

- • A suggestion was also made to start mailing out information from PACO as well as an e-mail
- • Changing the start time of Quarterly Meetings was discussed and an e-mail will be sent out to members
