Greetings from the PACO Board,

Spring and Summer have arrived and are departing quickly.

The members of the Board of Directors have been very busy these last few months with a wide assortment of activities. We held the Spring Forum at the Concordville Inn, Delaware County. The Golf Fund Raiser and Motorcycle Poker Run made out okay, the three-days of class were well presented. Attendance was a little under that expected and for the first time in the seven years of the Spring Forum we took a loss on hosting the event. We were pleased to Welcome Back to the East Coast, Mr. Robert Lynn from Las Vegas to swear in the 2008 Officers' of the Organization.

PACO and an number of other Pennsylvania and Regional Organizations are proud to support 'One of Our Own...Mr. Robert Loeper' in his candidacy for a position on the Board of Directors' of the International Code Council. Bob will be our candidate at the upcoming ICC General Membership Meeting in Minneapolis, Minnesota in September. The conference is from September 12 through September 23, 2008 at the Minneapolis Convention Center. RLoeper@radnor.org

Membership will have to make a decision on whether or not to conduct the November Fall Training Symposium. A number of members still need their Commercial Certification before April 2009; however, with the overabundance of training in the area, the feasibility of PACO holding a program is in question.

In closing, the Membership & Executive Officers' of PACO extend our sincerest condolences' and sympathy to the Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, Office of Life Safety & Code Enforcement and the McKernan Family on the loss of one of PACO's long time members, Mr. Fran McKernan, Chief Building Official for Upper Merion Township.
